So I know that I don't come on here a lot and post but whats the deal.. Yes I have had some good responses but I mean come on. One post that I put up a while ago had 400 something views and very little replies. Also post a question last night 36 views. And one response,(Thanks for that I have looked into it and knew all about it).

I get the whole "site family thing" as I am a long time member on a bunch of other sites, but REALLY....

Oh well thanks for all of the views!!!!!! As I am sure that I will get a TON of views and a few replies...

I dont think its a matter of a site family. I normally get good answers to anything I ask. I did learn a while ago that folks just dont like answering the same questions over and over again. How to set timing, how to adjust valves, how to remove springs, horsepower estimates, etc. etc. I thought the same thing as you at first, but then I learned to use the Search function and found that most of my questions have already been answered before. I also believe that if someone knows your answer you will get an answer. Its better to get nothing at all than get loads of incorrect info.

3/4 of your posts are asking for help, 1/2 of whats left is bitching about not geting enough help. I have asked for help many times on this site and have been nothing but gratefull for what I got, Not everyone knows the answer to all of your qustions, Some questions get alot of response some just get the one guy who has had a similar problem. I know this is sure not the way to get people to want to help.

So heres a reply for you

I looked and replied :). I look at a lot of posts just to learn and compare. I'm a relative amateur on a lot of these subjects. I have also made posts that didn't get a lot of replies but am happy with the info I do recieve whether I find it useful or not  :beers:.

Rest assured, you ARE a member of 'the site family'. As a matter of fact you remind me of my whiney baby sister when we were growing up, I ignored at every opportunity.:D

Seriously Jesse, I looked at some of your other posts, and you received good information to your questions. As far as finding someone to re-wire your car for you, that specialty isn't widely practiced, probably because you couldn't charge enough for the amount of labor involved to make a living at it. I recommend you purchase a factory wiring diagram for your ride, and find an electrically savvy gearhead buddy who'll work for beer, to come over and help you get it done. As you've probably discovered, if you're not a competent electrician it's not wise to rip out all your wiring and start over from scratch. If you want to deliver the car to Alabama, and leave it here for the winter, I'll rewire it for you for just the cost of the materials.

That's post #15. He's done, he's got better things to do.

If I want to be surrounded by negativity, I'll just go to work this morning.....

thats not cool, even as a paying member i realize not everyone on the site is obligated to see that my needs are met, if i ask a question i usually get an answer and it is either "this" or "this is what i did, it might work for you" but this is a pretty jovial place, just look in Bench Racing about the Razor i got, these are good people, its not personal, unless you goat them into it.

I've had my SS for 2 years this Christmas. I have asked a lot of ignorant (as opposed to stupid) questions. I have always got so much help. I thank all of you for your effort.
Everybody except Grandsport !!! Just kidding Gary.

Thanks,
Randy

Over the years this place has seen more refreshes through my username than I can begin to imagine... any time I have ever needed help through any mechanical problem, Chevelle or otherwise I have always found help here. Looking back I can't believe how stupid some of my first posts sounded. This site has helped lead me through my first engine build (complete from top to bottom) along with more troubleshooting help then I could ever dream of. Hell a lot of times I just sit and read through the threads out of sheer boredom until I see somthing to add my 2 cents to... Although I think I should steal back my crumple zone comment someone snaged....

First yr it seemed I had a hard time getting replies also but there are topics that are more popular than others, also depends on the site traffic some sites are busier than others.

For kicks I started a "bolts" thread way back and surprisingly it got a lot of replies. Pets give you a lot of attention if thats what you really need :p

You might spend too much time here when your startup page is the whats new on the team sites page. You can really tell when someone is having a boring night when you see how many posts they have made in the past few hours...

Some of this can be attributed to those that click on a thread and read it but dont have an answer for it. Not every view you get will automatically mean those viewers know how to help or give you an helpfull answer. Its not worth getting frusterated over really.

that's the way it goes, Jesse. The car threads get 6 views and no responses but the thread you post about your new mole with the hair in it will get thousands of views and several dozen responses :D

Most of my questions have been answered by doing a search .I look at most all posts but if I cant help I dont try to offer an answer because a wrong answer is worse than no answer . I have always received plenty of help when needed here but if you have an attitude someone will call you out on it .
