A stock 68 Malibu grill in decent condition, nobody wants to buy it and I don't mind it being garage art >:), Steve R I'd have to find an old 49-56 F1 or 64.5-68 mustang for that roller 302

Rear trunk panel from a '66 300 Deluxe... Very nice shape and uses the same "CHEVELLE" emblem as the SS... I cut it off decades ago (with about 10" of the quarter panels (it was a 4-door)... Its big and bulky, and I really don't see ever using it...

I also have a decent set of "core" bucket seats (69 GTO)... But right now, they are just an extra set... Maybe someday I'll buy another project, but I realize thats unlikely... I was going to put them in my '67 El Camino, but when I decided to sell, I just put a new cover on the stock bench...

I also have a few boxes of parts like headlight, ignition and wiper switches, horns, etc from '66s I have parted out. Stock "idiot light" clusters (in sad, old shape)... But re-doing my own car, I bought new stuff...
You have the whole back end? Sounds like awesome garage art to me! I'd ask you what you want for it , but I'm halfway across the country, shipping would murder any deal.

AS already stated....I wouldn't know where to start....BUT, I have found that as soon as I throw away or sell the "part I'll never use", I'm looking for it two weeks later!!

Had an M-22 I rebuilt 40 years ago with brand new Hurst shifter; sat in corner for years like an orphan, but I ended up getting s car that need a tranny 4 years ago, so it's now "whining" again.!!

As for the ZL-1 cams; is that the famous "180" part number cam?? If so, it's a hell of cam for "50 year old" technology.

But my "useless part" would have to be the 454 peanut-port, low rise, Torker manifold sitting on the shelf..!! It's like ancestor worship.

Lets see, off the top of my head.

The stainless Basset big block boat headers, the 72 Monte frame and my rediculous stash o NASCAR exhaust systems im my hoard.
All that, and your still buyin' stuff..........

You know you ain't coming back from Super Chevy tomorrow without a tailgate full of parts.

About 20 die-cast pitted-chrome seat adjuster knobs that I've saved from bucket seat restorations. Don't know why I'm saving them, but at least they don't take up too much space.....:D

I worked for Zora Arkus-Duntov for a while, and two years before he passed away, I get two crates from him. So, I call him and ask what they are, didn't open either crate. He tells me the contents are now mine, and, that he knew I would keep, and use them in good faith. He told me that they are the very last Ar-Dun Flat Head Ford V8 kits, one is a complete over head valve conversion kit, the other is a complete supercharger kit for the Ar-Dun OHV conversion. He also said they were the very last conversions each of what he and his brother made, decades before. I will never open either crate.

Talk about a rainy day fund.....

Changing it up a bit, I've kept all the stock parts that were replaced w/ aftermarket (mostly chrome) parts on the Harley...why, who knows, can't sell them, nobody wants them and won't be going back on the bike. It's just hard to throw new parts in the trash.

Dave Ray- That's quite the score, and I imagine working with Zora was quite the treat, even if it may have been a challenge at the time.

I saved a lot of parts off of my car as I upgraded and made changes over the years, many of which were good enough to keep my son going when he bought his 65.

However, that's not the point of this thread. What will I never use? I have a standard bore, steel crank 327 I have had for at least 25 years that I have no intent to ever use. It's up on Craigslist again right now, has been for 4 weeks and I still own it. I can't sell it for scrap prices, but I can't scrap it either.

Set of 990 LS7 crate engine heads, twisted flange Torker rect. port intake, points distributor off my 69SS, 69 427/390 h.p. Corvette short block, various cams, tires, Corvette 8" rally wheels, bunch of other various crap taking up space in my shop.

This thread is starting to feel like it could become a "swap" thread, much like a different social media website has. I have this, I'm not using it, someone need it?
I'm going to start digging a little deeper to find some things. But I will say, I have nothing as valuable as what some of you guys step over everyday in your shop.

I actually use points distributors when I run a tunnel-ram.
They work great.
I have a few of them.
Probably the A6 gm compressors I have I will never use and a couple power steering pumps.
I may use the pumps one day on a tractor for the hydraulic pump.

But probably not.
