So here's the big debut! This is the reason my car went to SEMA in the first place. TMI Products, www.tmiproducts.com, came out with a Sport Seat for Chevelles. They already had one for Camaro's, but they just developed the Chevelle line and debuted it at SEMA. They are basically a 'stock' seat but have the sides and bottom built up. They look REALLy bitchin. They are definitely what I wanted...something that held me but didn't ruin the semi-stock appearance of the interior. They are also a site sponsor.

Here are a couple of professional photo's by the guys at TMI. More to follow.

hahaha none taken! I really love these new wheels. Way more than the old ones....now the old ones look really outdated to me.

I don't think the paint has ever looked this good! The sales manager over at TMI Products personally spent 14 hours detailing the paint before SEMA. Plus I've never had a camera as high quality as they do.

They are supposed to be taking more pictures today, so hopefully next week I'll have those and can post more pictures!

Looking forward to more pictures of the car!! 5***** for you! By the way, your car was one of my inspirations when I was deciding whether or not to sell my old friend or jump into the project. However, I never thought I'd end up with a similar color and it wasn't until after it was painted that I realized how close it was. I was originally going with a lighter color Aston Martin color because the car was silver since about 1993 when I had it painted for 350 bucks:noway: (I was a high school kid working two jobs to pay for the engine, wheels, paint, and etc.). One thing led to another, and the body shop had some leftover paint after repairing a Dodge and saved me some cash which is how I ended up with the current color which I really, really like.

now you need to black out the grill to match the wheels;-)
I was thinking about powder coating the bumpers chrome and then knocking some of the polish off the chrome pieces....but we will see. All in time. Gives me a bigger to do list.

That was me on the phone, watching tv, talking to the wife and trying to reply on here at the same time hahahaha.

What I meant to say was I was thinking about powder coating the bumpers a gloss black. The grill, headlight rings, trim around the tail lights, etc, I was thinking about taking a scotch brite pad to them and knocking off the chrome or high shine finish and re-clear coating them. Sorta a machined aluminum type look. Don't know how well that would work or look, but maybe something to do in the future.

I still have a laundry list of things I want to do to the car. It actually makes me happy to have that so I can still wrench on the car since I really enjoy working on it.

hahaha, I thought that's what you meant!

I took some 800, then 2000 grit emery cloth to my chrome pipes on my Triumph bobber. It came out awesome and looked like brushed stainless steel when I was done. Recommend clear coating or clear powdercoating after doing this though.

A bit dirty in this pic, but you get the idea.

Yes, it leaked oil, but not this much! lol I just finished putting a remote oil filter on it, so all this oil is from residual left in the lines.

Thats exactly what I'm talking about! I kind of went that way with my engine compartment where I kept the chrome to a minimum and went with more of a aluminum look. Just thought it might look cool on the outside of the car too. Mainly the grill and tail light areas though. I was going to test it one of these days.

BTW, that bike is freaking awesome. I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to bikes, but I really like that one...looks awesome and mean yet classic at the same time.

Thanks! I love bikes and cars the same which sucks for me, because I have a restricted budget. Due to my Chevelle, I had to sell this bike, my 2010 custom Triumph Thruxton, and a very rare (1 of 2016 in the world) Chrysler SRT6 with a supercharged AMG Mercedes mill. I went from 4 toys to one, incomplete toy. :( It will be a very long time before I am able to get another bike and that really sucks for a motorcycle enthusiast who has had a bike of one type or another since the age of 5. Oh well, there's always the lottery! :D

Not to hijack, but incase you're wondering:

The thruxton:

The SRT6. 0-60 in 4.6 - 1/4 mile in 11.98 stock!

Awesome. I grew up riding too. Quads when I was little, then switched over to dirt bikes. I really love it, almost love it more than the Chevelle. Man, you have really sacrificed for your Chevelle! Sure hope its worth it to you, sure does look good so far.

Here's a picture of me on my bike a year or so ago:

Nice air! Yeah, I'm a bit upset about the sacrifices I had to make, but I ended up in a situation where there really wasn't any turning back. I completely underestimated the work and costs as did my body shop (of course they did). It was either push on with the project, or take it back in thousands of pieces. The latter wasn't an option because I just don't have the space. Also, with a pending transfer this summer, I'll need it to be at least a roller by then in case I get shipped out of state or country for that matter. I'm sure the car will be nice and fun, but honestly, if I could turn the clock back, I would have just sold the car and kept the other toys and the rest of the money I've spent in the bank. Oh well, live and learn. C'mon Power Ball... :)

I'll probably keep the Chevelle for a couple of years, then try to sell it (depending on what the market does) and at least get half of the $$ back. I just miss having bikes in the garage and multiple toys to enjoy.

That does suck. But then again, you can always buy a new bike. Get the Chevelle driving so you can enjoy it and then save up and get yourself another bike. That's what I would do. I've had my Chevelle for over 10 years and drove it for about 5 of them total. I finally got the whole car finished where I can really enjoy it. Drove it a few times, then moved to Kentucky lol. Its alright though, in a few more months I'll have it shipped back here and life will be good again.

I'll just be glad when this fiasco is finished. As you know, I've had my car for over 20 years and drove it for about 4 years of that time! lol It was stored for about 16 years.

Well, your car definitely came out pretty awesome. Looking forward to more updates!! I'll stop hijacking your thread now. :D

If you decide to brush the chrome, let us know how it goes and if you have any questions about the technique I used on the bike, feel free to ask. Funny, but I've used that on some of my faucets in my house. We have a unique tub faucet in great condition that we wanted to keep when I was renovating our house. The only problem was that it was chrome and everything else I installed was brushed nickel. So, I figured, what the heck and broke out the emery cloth again. It came out awesome and looks exactly like the other brushed nickel fixtures. So, I did this to a couple other pieces in the house.

Love the center console too (between the seats). Is that one of their products as well? I think I saw similar ones on their website.

That is one of their consoles. However its for a Camaro. They threw it in there to make it look better. I was able to keep it too, score! :D I still need to redo the cheesy console under the dash. I made that in about 30 minutes in high school. It's on that damn to do list that seems to get bigger and bigger.

Actually Tim - that is actually the new CHEVELLE CONSOLE - it sits about 3 inches higher than the Camaro console! They are ready for production, but haven't made it on anyones site just yet - soon guys, soon :hurray:
