Gene,
Your son is classified as part of the Millinium Generation aka Millinium Babies. And that sounds like you'll have a symphony under the hood! Gandolf80, welcome, eh, now we have 2 Canadian members(454 also). And thanks for the offer to help, I may hold you to your contribution. Everyone, we need pics of your rides too! Thanks for all the support. Also speaking of support, everyone that helped support my car, including some of you guys that gave me info, I am putting your names on my springs since it was you that supported my car. Just a friendly gesture! Thanks once again. A whole 8 members & more to go! Woohoo! Also do you guys want some kind of monthly magazine to your e-mail? How 'bout we post events that are going on by your town and give you guys info on how we're growing and what we plan to do in the future. Thanks again.

Count me in too man!! I'm 16 and I'm the only one with a muscle car in the whole school!!!!! We started a so called "muscle car parking area" in the lot, but I'm the only one with the muscle car. The only two other cars are a 99 camaro, and a 98 mustang!! Those don't count. One day i parked in another spot, and they came up to me and said "Hey man, you didnt park in the muscle section!!" So i explained to them "hey, listen, wherever i park is the muscle section". I hate those import pieces of crap. If you wanna know more about what I said check it out on the topic "chevelle owners-a dying breed"

Consider Texas represented for your club! Although I am on the 'older' scale of gen-X (31-ouch!), I would be honored to become a member of your site. If you need some kewl pics of our 70', just let me know.

Hey 72Elky, your story reminds me of the grocery store I work at. It began with me and a friend with a (sorry) '72 Gran Torino. We'd park next to the entrances and "guard" the lot. When a new kid was hired and parked in my spot, he was notified early on and now we are friends. Over the past two years my spot has remained the same, but my friend quit. Now another friend with a '69 Skylark holds the duty.

I hate to admit it, but that '72 was a pretty nice ride and it could take the Skylark and my Chevelle, so I have to respect it.

I guess I'm in too. Count Mi. represented. Like Gene Chas I was born in 61 but I have a son born in 81 so we both qualify!( and he thinks I'm an old fart! I'll have to show him this.) I've got a 66 SS in the restoring stage, It's still on the rotator. Maybe if work slows down it will be more than a dream. Good luck on the club. I started one at work for employees and we have between 50 and 60 members. You can never have too many friends to BS about cars with.

I might qualify, since I did not drive an Oriental import when I was in high school. I am the owner of a 1975 Nova 2-door, but I should not be excluded because the car is a Disco-Era Classic.

I do support affirmative action, and post-1972 should count.

H5O,
I spoke with Al via e-mail and we both opened our eyes as to this post. I was going to post this in a post called "I Apologize", but Al told me not to. But let me first off publicly apologive to anyone who I may have offended. I started this club because while I was at a car show a man in this hobby that I looked up to came over to my friend and I and asked, "Hey X-ers, where are your riceburners?" as some kind of challenge even though I am very much in classic cars. I hate being stereotyped and left out, but it happens all the time. Just as because I live in SoCal I am "supposed" to be a surfer, which I do surf, but not because of where I live, but because I enjoy it. I am also sorry for singling out a group of people and using GenX as my target for this post, but I only started the club because instead of beating the narrow-minded man with a brick like some of us here would do
Image
I decided to make light out of it and start a club for a generation that is judged so much, MY generation. So, what I am trying to say by all of this is you're welcome to join the club. Heck, if someone has a 73 Laguna, a 74 Gremlin, or a 87 Buick GN they should not be singled out so welcome abord.

DG,
If you read up above I hope you see why I named it GenX because I took it in light from some man.

And finally to Al and all the others who make this site possible,
I give you a well deserved THANK YOU! And to Al, you taught me a great lesson, for every man who is narrow-minded and judges people, there is always someone like you and Skip to back us up and understand where we are coming from.

And finally to Skip, who was and still is the epitome of goodness and giving, I thank you for all the help you gave me and others in this site and acknowledging us.I can only follow in your footsteps & pray to be as good as a man as you. Hope you're crusin' up there in heaven! Colossians 3:15-17
Thank you all,
Jason

PS On a less serious note, please send me pics of your cars so we can post them on the site. Thanks once again.

I'm in between San Diego and Los Angeles in a city called Temecula. You may have heard about it. We have a big Rod Run that we do do every February and this year My Classic Car was on hand filming. And Al, read my post above this. Also guys we have 19 members if H50 decides to join. Here are the states: Ca(5 members), Fl, NY, ND, Canada(2 members), VA, OH, IN, TX(2 members,3 if H50 joins), MI, and IA. The first people to sign up for your states you are the Founders of that state since they are no presidents in this club. Also I've wrote down all of your e-mail addresses so be prepared to hear from us in the next few weeks. Thanks again.
