Hey all,
I finally got around to putting all my old hardware into my new doors on my 1971 chevelle.
After I pulled them (working) from the old door I cleaned up a bit of rust on them and then installed into the new door.
I tested them and found it will roll down as normal but as soon as I let go of the crank the hardware raises extremely quickly. The base that the crank attaches to also spins rapidly so I do not think it is worn out teeth.
Did I screw up the coil spring or loose some type of spring stop? I did degrease and then regrease, also the glass is currently not in it.
Everything was working fine before I pulled the hardware out.
Thanks for the help, I hope I didnt screw it up to bad!!
