TH-400 Kickdown - Blows Fuse for Turn Signals?

Hey guys,
Whenever the electric floor kickdown switch is engaged, it blows the fuse to the turn signals. I am not at all electrical so I dont know where to start on this one.... When it was at the shop for the carb, they said that it may be a short in the transmission where the kickdown wire goes into???
Where should I start?

Could be a problem with the solenoid, or the wiring. Get a circuit breaker to put in instead of the fuse, then test and see what blows it. Unhook the wire at the trans, floor it, and see what happens. If it still blows, it is somewhere in the wiring. If it does not pop the breaker, it is either a bad solenoid, or a loose wire inside the pan grounding itself out.
