Nice to see it coming back together. I remember when it got hit. Good luck with the rest of the build.
Ditto^. I couldnt believe its been over 2 yrs.! I've seen this thread before , but for some reason never looked at it.

What a detailed account of events on the fix! Ive been studying the frame photos (a GTO frame? who wudda thunk,, nice research) I will be pulling my 70 Elcamino off the frame in Feb. , so your photos and info are very helpful!

Good luck,, maybe I'll see ya around. I hope that 71 rear bumper dont fit:D

Jason good progress and the chassis looks great. As far as Leo goes he ROCKS!!! God bless his heart. He will do you a favor from the bottom of his heart. Thanks Leo for all you do.

Hey Jason,
The frame looks nice!! When are you going to swap the body onto it? I'm still working on the inside of my body shell getting ready for paint. Come on warm weather. Let me know if you need a hand.

Prepping to take the body off of the old frame. Got the firewall cleared off, exhaust off, electric fuel pump off, heater core out, steering box off, wipers and cowl chrome off. One of the bolts on the brake booster rounded and had to ground off. Only thing left is the actual body mount bolts.

Thanks guys!

Coming along!

Are you going to be detailing the firewall and cowl? Good time to do it if you are.
The car is going to get re-painted after it all goes back together so I'll be taking care of that then.

Looking good Jason...slowly...but surely!!
Yup. Now that we have our daughter I've realized if I just wait til I have "spare time" for it it wont happen. Now I've put aside some time each week specifically for the car.

C'mon, we need more pics. Did you get the body transferred yet?
:p

i didnt read the whole thread, did you ck the cowl for any damage-sometimes it can get pushed back, and needs to be pulled back out for proper fender alighnment
It doesnt appear to be damaged, we'll see when it goes back together.

Been spraying the body mount bolts every couple of days with a penetrating oil, figure I'll need all the help I can get when I start on those.

Started pulling the interior, got the seats and console out but no pics yet. My internet is down at home.
