Some good points here. I do have a partial roll bar. I have the original bench seat. Maybe I should put that back in to keep the stock look? I took off the power steering, ac, heater, excess wires. I still think it is about a 100lbs off. I am going to drive it up to my buddies work at the power plant. He said those scales are accurate and can do a front end weight and rear weight.

My tool box was in the trunk. That was a good point. I usually have it with me for break downs. Of course I wouldn't race with it. That probably weighs 30lbs or so. I had two car seats in the back but no kids. So that is another 15-20lbs.

I'll keep everyone updated.

Okay. A very miserable day. Trying to get my car ready for the scales with my lower back out of place. That sucked. The good news is I got it to the scales and still had a little over a half a tank of fuel, no tools in trunk, car seats etc.. Car was race ready on the scales. I have to think these scales have to be accurate and the weight ended up being right about where I thought it would be. Here are the pics.

This is the weight without me in the car.

Here is the weight of the front end with me in the car. I pulled up and just put the front half of my car on the scale. Don't know how accurate it is like that.

These are just some pictures I decided to take while I was out there. I thought it made for a very cool background.

Forgot to mention...don't take too much weight off her, she's gonna start lookin anorexic:D
I am actually pretty impressed with myself. I tried to do alot of those things they do in the FAST class. Must have worked. Just over 3700lbs with me in it. Pretty good. At some point I may put my bench seat back in. That will shave a little more weight but I also plan on adding a sound system to my car and put flow masters back on so I can enjoy street cruising. Then just unbolt the headers at the track. I like the sound with the bullits but my poor kids can't hear a thing and they like to rock to music..

As far as front end weight. Anyone know if I have a good percentage or not. I know how to figure out what the percentage is just don't know what is considered good or not. Also, I let my buddy who has been helping me build this thing for the last 18 months, drive the car today. I think he enjoyed it. Just some nice easy cruising. The car drives so nice on the E85. Very smooth and crisp. Great street manners.

If I haven't mentioned it. Thanks for all your help Jon. :beers:

53/54% is usually about where they are for a car like yours....so I think you're good...
