I have a '69 Chevelle that I had no intention on making an SS clone. Problem is that this car has front panels from an SS so the holes are there for the SS emblems. Unfortanetely when it was painted those holes weren't filled. My question is what are all the exterior emblems I need to make it an SS clone? What other exterior differences are there between a Malibu and an SS? If you know of another route I can go please let me know. Thanks in advance...

For emblems there is a SS 396 on each fender, SS on front end, SS396 on rear panel below trunk this panel is painted black, there is no malibu script on the quarter, the rocker trim is usually not there, and the eyebrows trim around the headlights stop even with the bumper elevation and doesn't continue down the front of the fender to meet the rocker trim. Of course don't forget the SS Hood. Interior door panels, horn button, and the plaque above the glovebox has ss or ss396 trim instead of malibu. I think I got it all. I'm doing the same with my 69. I find most people don't have a problem with this unless you try to sell it or pass it off as an original SS. Other than that its personal preference.
