Rocker tip to Valve Stem Alignment

I mentiond in my Dyno post that I saw evidence of mis-alignment on several rockers. All on the exhaust. The heads are AFR 305's.
Well, after runining the engine awhile, most of the rocker tips look fine. But there are still 2 that show not only uneven wear, but it is beginning to look like the roller tips are taking a beating.
Mike....I failed to look close enough....I thought they were all looking ok.
Anyway, I'm wondering something.
I'd guess that the rocker is tilted just slightly on these bad valves. Maybe on the order of 3 thou or so. Do you think I could fashion some sort of thin shim to place under one side of the guide plate? When tightened to spec, just maybe this would lean the stud over enough to cure the problem.
Or do you all feel like perhaps the whole top of the rocker stud boss would need to be remachined? Or would that even do it? Maybe the threads are what actually does all of the locating?
I'm getting a star shaped pattern on the tops of the 2 valve stems.
I have photos and now will give AFR a call, cause I'm getting nervous about this. At the same time, a simple fix would make me real happy. Although if needed, I'll take the head off and get it fixed the right way....and that will no doubt pretty much ruin my season.
