Man, what a nice day!! I think I'll cruise up to the A&W in Shelton and have a root beer float! What's everyone else doing?

Let's see, just got done cleaning the house, next we're heading outside to plant 60.00 buck's worth of flowers. Then We gotta plant all the stuff in the greenhouse, which means I'll spend all day scrubbin and bleaching pot's, then I'll have to fix the drip system.

Then when that's done, We went and picked up Samantha's new truck, so I gotta go through that top to bottom, before she can start to drive it. I told her She's gotta learn to drive stick in Her truck, not Mine.

Then We got a couple pound's of Copper River Salmon from Shelly's work. Fire up the ole grill for that one.

Then I'm gonna cruise up My favorite road offa 9 with my timing light, and try out some new wieghts.:D

I'm at work on Fort Lewis in-processing cadre for the ROTC Camp. I can tell you that I'm not working hard so rest easy. Would rather be home grilling. Several of my little friends are in the fridge cooling, waiting for me to get home.:beers:

new Gears:
Some new tire marks on the ground, wonder how that happened?

Engine:
I know I promised Ben I'd keep the cam lift to .540" in the "Charity 454." I am tempted by the Syren call for more power.....am checking out the the bargain F-M/Spd Pro CS1140R grind, about $105 w/lifters .553/.578" 234/244 dur @ .050" 112 c/l. If I still had the PT Cruiser as a daily driver, I'd run this w/o hesitation. Alas, the PT is wrecked so the Elky must have some manners.
Anybody got something like this under da hood getting fair mpg?

If you're gonna do a float, it's gotta be a XXX !! Throw a burger in with that please.
A&W was the best I could do today, the Triple X is a little too far to go. How does a Georgia boy know about the Triple X anyway? I've been here 4 yrs and haven't been yet:(

Been there!! A little side trip one Saturday night while attending the ACES NW regional...recommend by Ben. YUM!!
A "must do" when visiting the Seattle area.

Mark,
Just got in, now it's time to do some grillin'. That Bill is a real travelin' man, turns up every where I suspect.
That was fun, perfect drive,..... before I beat the snot out of her next weekend!

I'm at work
Too bad for you, you nasty contractor:D

Mike and I had a good time, wish you could've been able to join us but I thought you might have had to work.

I think payback for me is going to happen this week as I have to get loads of paperwork done.......and I suck at paperwork.

The float was great!!

This nasty contractor did have a lotta time to review catalogs and such.
Lotta cam grinds to look at. Do not want a grocery-getter cam, do not want something with so much oats it is a PITA. Just looking....more towards the DARK SIDE...that darn Mr 4 Speed.....

Brett called me to Cruise to the Colby event and to check out his purchases...

Wifey talking vacation after camp
got the flier for the 30 yr reunion this NOV, groan

The kids and I made it to Colby.
The weather was awesome and of course the cars were too!:hurray:

We saw Frank and his '69 were in attendance, as well as several from the local cruise scene.

Then BBQ'd a large amount of steak and had a big ol' dinner at the in-laws in Redmond before heading the Buick for the barn.

All in all, a nice day to end the long weekend with.

Dave,

Does that mean you're tuning for next weekend? Haven't seen your car since it won best unfinished the first time. Hope you can come down!

No, I'd thought about going for Friday's TNT,But I'm not ready for the Bracket's yet and it's a long way. If I was to go that far and race, I'd have to rent a trailer , fill the tank on the Envoy:sad: , Ferry, spending cash, of course 20 gallon's of the good stuff for the Velle. You get the drift;) , and I really want to get some door panel's, to finish up the interior a little. I got that rear seat from Rainer installed, what a difference. Get some door panel's and a package tray, and I might be able to think while I'm cruisin the car this summer.:hurray: This is the first year in 3 years that the car isn't torn into a hundred piece's in the garage. It's very drivable, getting better every day, as I've had the time to start fine tuning it, instead of trying to ressurect it from the dead. And, I gotta stop bleeding cash into the car, get some Home mod's done(got quite a few done this spring already, wife's happy)and just drive the car.

Also I gotta lay low for the next 6 month's, cause My wife is prolly gonna crap Her pant's when I start painting the car this Winter.:D

But lokk at my other topic, I just started, maybe later in the year.

I busted up laughing at your post! Layin' low myself!
Very likely I'll keep the family content this week by staying home......
Who knows, I could turn up somewhere......

I've dropped about $20 LARGE into the kitchen, appliances, and other projects since Jan 06. I'm putting $20 LARGE away for the kid heading off to UW this fall. The wife and kids think I'm an ATM. Every now and again, some money is diverted to car projects...
