ok all i did was swap out trans today the new rebuld one seems to vibrate more than the last at speeds over 70 i can feel it in the handle.. any thought or areas i could look at.
just 4 gear at above 3500 rpms is there a ways to things look for diffent causes by example like put the trans in n then rev it up to ect,. give me some seneros thanks.n,
There really is not a lot in a trans that can cause a vibration like that. Did you put a new clutch in at the same itme ? U-joints ? Those things would be more suspect in my mind. Does it do it at the same speed but in third gear ? If so, it is probably something behind the trans, like driveshaft or tires out of balance.
thanks but why would that make a diffenerceIf you didn't have a vibration before. Drop the driveshaft turn it half a turn and bolt it back up and see if the vibration goes away.![]()
I really don't know, has to do with balance??? but I have had it work to get rid of a vibration. Normally it would be when reinstalling the dr shaft with the same trans. But I have also had the same results after installing a new trans.thanks but why would that make a diffenerce
turn the drive shaft half way leave the yoke putt right. why would that work
