new master cylinder

Got 68' Malibu I bought new master cylinder and brake booster.question is about brake lines.new master cylinder has bracket that angles it up maybe 15 deg. old lines that spiral 3 to 4 times down to perportioning valve is to short even stretching it.Is there reasoning for the spiral or can I just fab new lines,and do I need to match the spirals.

The reasoning behind the spiral is to make sure the brake lines are not under tension or compression when the frame/body/firewall flexes. There are different way they were done depending on model (I guess the stiffer the body, the less «spring» you need). As long as you have some bending allowed, you should be OK. Here are some designs:
