October 31st. That explains the 660 case. Is it a fine spline input shaft or a coarse??

It has a fine spline input and a large ouput with the 764 tail.
The 660 case makes no sense to me with that input and output.
All the ones I've ever seen for 1970 with those were 661 case trannies.

My original untampered with M-22 in my Chevelle is POT19C.(Dec.19,1969).Has the 978766WO,3978764 rear housing, case is 3925661,26 in,32 out and has my vin stamped on it with the same gangstamp that wacked my engine in 1970.My LS-5 is one of the earlier Baltimore cars in Dales registry.Hope this helps.

Interesting, trans is in Montana; seller is in NC.?????

My original M22 for my 02A Van Nuys LS6, POR31C was stamped on the main case and on my PoP. The Hurst shifter was added by the previous owner.

Does it have a partial VIN? An M22 is supposed to have a drain plug.

If I showed all the numbers I couldn't call it "partial vin"!
It'd still be a partial VIN because the whole VIN would start out 136370L. Just sayin'. ;)
