Hi guys-
I have run across kind of an interesting M22, and I was wondering what kind of value something like this has. Details are:
P0431C - 1970, Oct 31, Muncie gear set (I think this is what the date code translates to)
3978766WO - This is the VIN tag. I'm not sure, but I think this indicates that the transmission was in a Chevelle.
3925660 - Case casting number
3978764 - Tail shaft casting number
The thing that makes it so interesting is that the transmission has never been used. It is still brand new. A tree fell on the car when it was in at the dealership and totalled the car. One of the mechanics at the dealership stole this transmission from the totalled car before the car was hauled away. It has sat ever since. It is in excellent condition, and doesn't appear to have ever seen the weather (I have some pics if that helps).
I was wondering if you guys could shoot me a ball park value on something like this.
