I thought installing a fan shroud would be fairly easy, but now I am frustrated and need some help. This is on a 454 BB car. I bought the aftermarket fan shroud from NPD. I have removed the fan but I still can not slide the fan and shroud into place behind the radiator. I have a few questions:
1. Are there different size clutch fans for 454 cars?
2. Should the fan completely fit inside the shroud opening because mine does not.
3. Do I need to remove the radiator along with the fan to install the shroud?

I finally got the fan and shroud wedged in there, bolted the fan up and it still touches the shroud all the way around.
