Muncie speedometer gear question

Another question about my 1967 M20:

The speedometer has a 10 tooth purple nylon/plastic drive gear. It was held in place with an innovative method (a short groove cut into the shaft with an angle grinder and one ball bearing and some silicone caulking in the groove in the drive gear to keep the gear from spinning.) The shaft looks OK, but I want to replace the gear, likely with a metal press-on type.

The present driven gear is a 20 tooth blue gear.

My tires are P235 60R 15. My rough measurement is about 26 inch diameter.

I plan to use 3:42 gears.

What is the correct or best drive and driven gear combination to use? After searching this site, I found info on doing the calculations. My calculations suggest an 8 tooth drive gear and a 21 tooth driven gear. Is this correct?

I'm no mathematician and would appreciate someone double checking this.

Thanks!!
