That's too bad... :(
Our Lowes and McLendons carry some grade 8's.
I'm lucky that I live close to a Tacoma Screw that has pretty much everything. The only downside is they aren't open very late during the week.

I'm heading out to a little wrenching myself.

Hey John, I have something might help with those cars running you down on the top end...:yes::yes:
You wanna borrow my Weiand Team G single plane...:cool::cool:
We know your car gets outta the hole OK. Let me know because it's siiting on my work bench collecting dust. I might need it back in a year or so when I build a motor that will keep up with you big boys...;)

......Maybe even George will put a little spray into that elky of his.

I'm gonna HAVE to squeeze some for next year!
Last year, it was "get 13.0/12.9"
Now most everybody are solidly mid 12s or better....
Alas, this is so far down the road

I'll be happy to see 13.0-12.8 with the 454/Elky NA and squeeze her a bit later in the season.

I'll just be happy to see you show up and run George.

Even if it isn't 12's!!!!!!!!!!!! How's that for being nice,

Doc,
C'mon, I had a valid note from mommy to miss racing the 22nd.
I will be there the 13th, the 19th, maybe both. The season is nearly done and I've yet to do better than last season.

Hey, I start next week a Schuck's. Will probably float between the Steilacoom store 5 min from the house and the Lakewood/Bridgeport store.....
Maybe the new job will get in the way......
(I wonder how long I can soak up excuses with this?)

LOL!!!!!!!!

If you need affordable transportation, Brett has a Go-ped, slightly used, you could probably use. It may come with a free physical therapist. If so, you're out and I want the go-ped.

Well, I was able to find some Grade 8 bolts for my converter....just had to buy a bag of 50. Bolted up nicely. Adjusted the header collectors so my mufflers were square and checked everything over before I fired her up....

Or so I thought...

Forgot that I disconnected the cooler lines when I removed the trans. :clonk:
After cleaning up that mess things went well. Amazing how much fluid can spray out of those lines by just firing it up and climbing back out of the car.

Took it for a mellow trip down the street and back a couple times, and you can really feel the difference. I didn't jump on it, but just to get it moving you need to give it more throttle to just get it to spool up.

It actually sounds kinda mean. :beers:

Thanks for the offer of the Team G, Frank. I'll do some research and see what the difference between it and the Vic Jr is.

And this photo is for you, Jeremy. See, us way north NW guys can't keep stuff together long, but we get it back together quickly.

Ol' Ugly back together and in the stable...

Looking forward to racing this weekend. Blue bottle is at the filling station. :D

That's nothing, wait till You blow a commutator on the bottom of a 1500 gallon, pressurized tank. We were wiping up oil for 20 hours straight.

I bet You're starting to think You can take on the world, HUH. I got something new for Ya.:hurray:

For awhile there I thought you took care of Janet........................:D
l:)l:)l:)

That one got my wife, my son and me belly laughing.

Mother Goose is still next door. I thought she was going to call the cops for sure while I had it outside idling, to warm up the tranny.

Then I did the outlaw run back and forth down the street...still no cops.

Maybe she's getting the hint...my kid's stopped taking her garbage can up for her.:D
