While I'd probably never start with a 307/PG car again, I really like this Malibu.....

Hmm. That looks VERY familiar. I like it a lot. Mine has 350 4 bbl, 200 4R trans, factory air, and front disc brakes though. Mine used to be a different exterior color combo and 307 PG so I fixed it.

 

Pretty girl. Add it to watch list. Would like to know the final $

 

Note the build sheet has a date of 06-10 and trim tag is 06A for those correlating trim tag dates with build dates. June 10 was a Tuesday into the 2nd physical week.

Agree it's a pretty car and not hot-rodded or modified too much - hood and wheels don't detract. Why, oh why, the finger warning sticker... Looks like fresh orange engine paint hasn't burned off exhaust and battery tender implies it hasn't been driven much since engine was painted.

25k for a 307/pg ! ! why ? i was thinking more like half that price !

 

I was thinking in the 12-15K range myself. 25K is a bit much for 307/PG/manual brakes car, IMHO.

 

I'd guess somewhere around $20K. Very nice car and low miles, but drawbacks are 307 PG (mainly the doggy PG), manual drum brakes, and no AC. Great color combo (I may be biased). Too bad they ruined the exhaust with loud dronemasters.

 

This car was on brooklyn craigslist for a while about 4 years ago by second owner for under 10k and it was kind of screwed up & fresh out of long term storage. a hobbyist bagged it, wet sanded grannys earl shieb, buffed it, added ss hood new rims, detailed the engine compartment and trunk then rolled it 3 years ago somewhere in the teens. he cleaned it up pretty good but I suggest personal inspection before purchasing

 

I like it, but note the damage to the right rocker, no pics of the underside or the left rocker. I also have to wonder about the 40K, seat looks like it has seen more miles than that, but who knows? Price seems way high for that car with that equiptment.

The seller want's $25,000 for a car with orange overspray engine paint on it's exhaust manifold???? I'm not understanding.

 

I am blown away by the asking prices on some cars. WTF are these people smoking?

About a month ago a buddy tells me about a '70 SS396 with docs and numbers block on a stand....502 under the hood...with a T400 behind it.. Car was very nice fresh resto with a ton of repop parts(dash,trim,interior..etc.. kind of a turn off for me). Seller says 55k.. I threw out 40k... Sellers wife comes out and raises the price to 60k... but says she'll let it go for 57k.. WTF?? Supposedly the people are going thru a lawsuit and could use the money... I guess they didn't need the $$$ that bad..

Ahhh.....the old "I really want to sell you the car for XXXX but my wife is crazy and won't let me" pitch.

It's usually followed up with some huddling around and "well, I can go YYYY dollars....but don't tell her" line.
