Does anyone know what a LS6 4 spd radiator is worth ? I might have a chance to own one, thanks.

Well, I just sold a beautiful 69-396 w/air 4-speed radiator for 600, just saying.

The guy that wants to sell said he spent 400.00 to get it redone. Does this sound right ?

If he had it redone with a new copper core that would be about right. It's what I paid to have mine done a year ago.

If it is a real 4 Row 70 4 speed Rad. The car may have had the VO-1 Cooling option. The tanks will be marked " XJ " & " IF "and the word " Harrison " will also be visible. My 4 speed rad. also has the code tag, With some numbers and the letters " PA " Stamped on the code tag.
NO--XJ & IF stamped on the tanks.... NOT an orgional 70 4 speed Rad.

The LS6 came with either a 3-row or 4-row radiator depending on it being a 3.31 or 4.10 gear.
Which one does the guy have for sale?

"IF" on the other tank will be 4-row, "IA" is 3-row.

LS6 only had 4 row with 4:10 rar or if HD cooling was ordered. AC cars were supposed to come with 4 row. Plenty of LS6 cars only originally came with the 3 row.

It takes about $900 to make one exactly correct using the correct core, exact reproduction end tanks from Chris White, tag and top/bottom plates. I would think a good used one would be somewhere less than that.
