HAd a relative over last night and decided to take the car out for a spin. We exercised it fairly hard in a remote area and thedang lights started flickering!!!

Any ideas where to start looking?

The flickering was just a reflection from the police cruiser's lights behind you. Pull over.

All the night time running lights started flickering! Headlights, interior lights, tail lights. A little unnerving at 10 pm.

probably a bad headlight switch, the breakers get weak.

Sounds like the voltage regulator isn't holding the alternator stable. Guessing you have the old mechanical style regulator.

Or possibly a loose or insufficient ground?
I had an Elky once that the lights would go out whenever I pushed the clutch in. :clonk: ...took me a while before I realized it was because it was missing the engine/body ground.
