I bought a bottle at Big Lots. Best rust remover I've ever used. Better than Naval jelly, Right Stuff, Evaporust, etc. I went back and bought 3 more bottles and I think I'll go buy the rest. Plus, at $2.80 a bottle it's a steal

Come on now Andy, what do think we are here a big city or something?

We're lucky to have a McDonalds:D

Well you know Jeff and Rob, this stuff might not be for you. The directions say you have to wash it off with a lot of water, and I know for you guys it's a long trip out to the well, especially in this weather.

Well on second thought, perhaps you could stop by the well on your way back from the outhouse :D

That Krud Kutter stuff doesn't have any products in it to remove corrosion, from what I see it's only a strong cleaner. You'd be better off using molassis, electolysis, or phosphoric acid. Klean Strip has a phosphoric rust remover available in one gallon containers at home depot ($14) and I just picked up some yesterday for testing. Naval Jelly also works good but sloooowww. Bob

Edit: the Krud Kutter example I found in my search is different than the one posted on the first link, it looks like the gel might be similar to naval jelly? Containing Phosphoric acid.

I recall being warned about using liquid type rust removers, as it is nearly impossible to get the stuff out of minute cracks/crevices/joints in the metal. Later, when painted, the acid can cause problems with the paint. Anyone out there heard of this?

Does the liquid rust remover do a better job than media blasting, or just better for the money?

Thanks for your comments.
