Here's the deal. Want to yank out the existing 10 bolt rear, repalce with Currie 9" for 68-72. I am looking for a "sequence of events", if you will, for some one with no past experience with this type of project. The new rear is complete with 11" drums, brakelines to the top of pumpkin. Will be installing new coil springs and Hotchkis upper and lower arms. Lets start with the car on jack stands and proceed from there.........Dont worry about hurting my feelings, as I dont have any. Grasshopper is ready to learn. Suggestions for which rear shocks (street/strip) and use of air bags in springs also welcomed. Thanks, Craig

Dont make me do this by myself. Just think, you may be the person responsible for keeping me from putting a big dent in my forehead, limit mindless cursing, and reduce tools being tossed around in fustration.

Craig,
It's really not that hard. Get the car on stands under the frame so the rear end hangs down and start removing everything that is connected to it. Have the jack under the rear end to suport it. Have a plug handy to stick in the brake line when you remove it so you don't loose all of the brake fluid from the master cylinder. Just be carefull and have a buddy there to help.

Definetly have some help. Wrestling a 200+ chunk of iron around isn't fun. I put my 12 bolt back in solo, and had to get real creative with the floor jack, stands, and wood blocks. Have a few good drift punches around to help line up / hold the arms in place until you can get the bolts through.
