If you go out and buy a wireless router do you have to have an existing broadband connection that you plug into the router? Or can you some how go through an ISP and have it directly sent to the router?
I'm trying to figure out a way to get high speed without upsetting the lady of the house. I asked her if I paid for it could I get a high speed set up. She didn't answer me, and I know what that meant.
So, is there a way to get a connection directly to a router, or must you plug in an already existing broadband cable and then put an adapter on your computer to accep the signal?
Do those of you who know this may seem kind of stupid. But all I've had for the last eighteen years is dial up. Well I had high speed for the last year and a half or so I was living in Colorado.
I would just go pirated wi fi but all the pepole around here have securtiy enabled networks. I know it's kind of hypocritical. I would secure the network if I had one. But why does everyone else have to?
