Hey Scott, I got to talk with Ernie a few weeks ago when he came up to one of our meetings. He told me that he and Jim were going to cook again this year, probably on Sat night. We will set up again in the parking lot. If anything changes Ill let ya'll know. Man was that some good eating!
:hurray: :hurray: Starting to drool already.. What are the chances of prying that recipe out of you guys??::D I'd really like to give it a whirl for the superbowl..

I know so many people, am absolutely horrible with names, (NAME TAGS HELP!!) but know the faces and the cars! And I miss you all!
Have been so blessed with lots of wonderful friends that I have met here and in person at different shows and CB events. TC has been a lifesaver for me.
Hard to mention them all. Okay okay - so i can't remember ****.
I'm old okay?

But ya'll need to remember - to get a brownie, ya have to hug the redhead!

I've met a few at local events in Houston (both when I was living in Baton Rouge, and now that I live in Corpus Christi). And I met several at CB02. I can't even begin to name them all. There was Chuck, Dean, Bill, Big James, Mike, Marooned, Ron (Bow Tied), CFR, Gene, Chris Dagenais, Al, Dot, Tom Parsons (who I've had the pleasure of visiting again since then), and countless others. I wish I could remember everyone's name. I didn't feel like anyone I met was just a casual "hey, how are ya'" kind of thing. I felt like I knew them all.

I've never had a better time than when with Team Chevelle and ACES folks. I've always felt like I was around old friends, even when it was the first time we ever met face-to-face.

The one memory that sticks out the most was with Al, Dot, and Beldarr in Nashville. That Beldarr had me laughing so much I almost ****ed my pants. And I wasn't even drinking!

I've hung with Wayne Scott (SS540) both in Houston and Biloxi. And a few other Chevelle owners at those events.

Then there was the last evening at that CB hangin' with BB_Mike, Beaux, Chris, and a few more of the young "Wild boys". I've never felt more at home.

Chevelle owners are the best of the best. You can't go wrong hangin' with them. I still want to meet more of the Houston bunch when I'm in town.

I hope to bring my son with me to the next big Chevelle event. Maybe I'll make the trip to Nashville this year.

I haven't met any Chevelle folk in China.

Scott, I will call Ernie tomorrow and ask him about the recipe. Try to get with you first of the week. I remember some of the things that went in the pot, but you know those cajuns!, and they went light on the hot sauce.

I know 40Coupe and Crankitup, I've met Dean at the track when the Regionals were in Springfield,Mo.,met John Wilson when he came to town. I've also met an Arkansas member at the track? can't remember his name? I've talked on the phone with 3-4 members and have had parts dealings with 3-4 more, all very pleasant folks

That would be REALLY cool, I have a recipe but it calls for a lot of andoulie (sp?) sausage, that stuff is hard to get around here & super expensive..

He told me that there was none in his jambalaya yet it still tasted like there was..

Savoie's has always been my favorite, for either Andouille or Smoked Sausage. With Manda coming in a VERY CLOSE second. Some folks can't even tell the difference.

Maybe one or the other could ship some to you. I'm glad you brought it up, as I'm gonna try to get some in Corpus Christi so I can make proper Jambalaya, Gumbo, and Red Beans & Rice. It also goes very well in a pot of boiled crawfish.

The sausage is one of the main things that I miss about Louisiana.

FWIW, I only use Andouille in Gumbo. I prefer smoked sausage in all the other dishes. The thought of Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya is making my mouth water. No chance of getting it here in China.

Hey, what about me, Dean?? ;)
I've only missed ONE ACES show in the past two years and that one was Seattle '04 due to surgery.
Hey that's right, Bill IS always there, maybe even more so than Bob now that I think about it.
Another person that comes to mind is Greg Martin
