Hello everyone i need some help.. My motor is suppose to be a 69 396 according to casting number 3955272 but it had an older style bypass valve on it for a 64-67 and i cracked it putting on engine stand.. My question is why do i need this on the 69 block why cant i just use the adapter they sell with bypass built in? here are some pics of what i have now do i need to buy the bypass adapter from ecklers corvette or can i just buy the new one? thanks for all the help in advance.
