I have found the gmpartsdirect prices to be substantially lower than the resto cats, and the dealers. has anyone ordered anything through this site? I would like some feedback before placing the order.. especially about turn around time, I can get parts in 2 days through the dealer..just cost more..

thanks,

jody

i haven't ordered anything myself, but was told to make sure you know what the shipping charges will be.

Talk to your local dealer and tell them the price you can get the part for. Don't pay the list price. I just did this yesterday about getting a fender for my 68. They couldn't match the price but got close enough for me to use local. The difference is less than what probably shipping would be. This way I can get a good look before I buy the fender. Like they say there is a cost for convenience.

I have used them several times. The total cost is shown on the form before you commit to buy. It is a dealer in WinstonSalem NC. so ups delivery to me here in VA is only a couple of days.
