John,
The gig is up!! Joan told me that it just appears that the car is pulling the camper.
Optical illusion. LOL
That new paint job is KILLER!
You'll be afraid to drive it now.
Better buy a closed in trailer to pull behind that '72 truck LOL

No we wont be trailering it at all .It will be driven every chance we get ,but it did turn out great again. I cant wait until the old ugly 72 truck looks that good and it will continue to be my daily driver.

Man, I saw the rockers on the 72 when I was by the shop today.... I bet that thing could almost float with all that foam :D I probably shouldn't talk just yet, they are going to start sanding the car and find someone took a window screen and bondo to repair an entire quarter panel or something....

I found Darrel's shop by accident just by asking at one of the local parts stores if they knew anyone trustworthy and reasonably priced to restore Joans vert .It just happened that the guy I asked had his Jeep repaired by Darrel and I was impressed with his work. When I stopped by his shop (after hours) to get a phone number Darrel was still there waiting for a car he had just finished to come back from the upholstery shop so that he could do the final cut and buff. He would not give me a price until after that car arrived and was put back into the paint booth so I could see what it looked like. That car was a Plum Crazy Purple Duster and I knew I had my shop .That was several years ago and I do love to go up there and BS with Darrel and Neil as often as I can .Good guys ,the both of them .And the foam that was in the rocker panels was put there by me to help with keeping the heat in and the dust out for the time I drove it as my daily driver .Sometimes you have to make do til it can be fixed correctly which is why I sold my wifes 68 Malibu project to restore my daily driver truck.

I completely understand. My first chevelle was a 71 malibu back in 99 when I was young, poor and dumb. My front a-pillar was rotten through so what did I do??? 1 can of GreatStuff and a bondo layer to smooth it out. I am pretty confident that car just went down hill from there so I don't feel too horrible but definitely understand certain circumstances dictate how you respond to vehicles issues.
