Sweet combo.

626HP, 586 TQ.

This is a engine that Mike Lewis built. Had 11:1, a single plane and dominator I believe:

A 469 with Brodix Rect Race Rite heads & a cam that was 254/262, .703 110 sep
Peak was at 6900
RPM CHP CTRQ
3300 275 438
3500 302 453.5
4000 385 506
4500 476 555
4800 512 560.4 PK TQ
5000 529 556
5500 585 559
6000 618 541
6500 656 530
6900 685 529 PK PWR
7000 682 522

My 468 is close to yours, comp. is 10.7 to 1, Race Rite Rectangle ports, RPM Air Gap, ProSystems HP 950, Hydraulic Roller with .621 Intake, .615 exhaust, 242 intake, 248 exhaust. Mine was 574 HP from 5700-6200 rpm. Torque was 584 lb. ft. at 4400rpm with over 575 lb. ft. from 4200-5100 rpm. Yours should rev a little better I'll say 590HP and 560 lb. ft.

here's the results
peak hp 538 at 5800
peak tq 549 at 4400

the best run was using a 750 dp with a hp main body. he put a 950 hp carb on but we lost power. im surprised it made more tq then horspower, concidering the cam i'm using.
i was hoping for at least 550 hp&tq. pretty close
i learned one thing thou, that having the right jets make a world of difference. about every 4 jet sizes up we gained about 10 hp&tq. we keped chasing a lean condition on high end. the best part is that there was no leaks, sounded good, and it's still in one piece.

Well remember horsepower sells cars, torque wins races.....
In your first post you stated a 850DP but then you said your best run was with a 750 DP...... So you did not use the 850 DP? You went from a 750 DP to a 950DP? Also if you used a 750DP or 850DP what size jets did you use?

That thing should be making ALOT more power. I would expect your HP/TQ if you were running a tiny cam. I would start by making sure everything os OK with the motor, valve adjust, compression/leak down, cam timing. Something is off, IMO.

Any idle speed and vacuum #s?

I'd wait and see how it runs in the car before making any judgements, dyno numbers arn't everything;) What kind of dyno did you run on? I had an engine drop 35HP and similar tq going from a superflow to a DTS.

my 850 had been setting on the shelf for awhile. when i took of the front bowl ,the stock gaskets had turned to cement. i just didn't have time to scrape all the junk off. so i just took the 750 off my car.( 400 SB)
the best pull with the 750 was with front 79 rear 89 jets. front has power valve.

Jetting seems Ok .did dyno have afr or bsfc numbers ?/ Are you sure you have a real 10.1 cr hypers with 115cc head ....dont recall they have a piston to ge there is it zero decked if it down on compression and that big cam bleed ing off cyl pressure could explain the low numbers I expected high 590's -600 at 6k ....... any vacuum numbers at wot I dont think that carb hurt yuou all that bad

i think your right. i might only be around 9.5 comp. not sure on my deck height. pistons are speed pro h693cp60 ( JEGS NUM )
he said the afr was around 13. when he starts talking afr stuff it's like teaching me calculus ? :(

land & sea dyno-max 2000 pro
good - bad ?

I have had my motor on one here seemd very close tot he dynojet I used a couple years prior ...... ask you dyno guy waht he used for correction factor ....any afr or bsfc numbers ??
