Dynamat removal? Anyone done it?

I'm thinking about using Dynamat or similar on my floor/roof when I get to that point. I understand it sticks really well. If it takes an act of God and a case of 80 grit sandpaper to remove it if necessary, I may have to rethink using it.

So, has anyone ever had to remove the stuff and how hard was it?

Perhaps a hair dryer or heat gun may soften it up if it gets stubborn?

You won't want to take it off once you hear the differance the stuff makes on road noise.

I think it would clog a sand paper disc in about 1 second.

A heat gun and a scrapper would get it off.

Nah. It does clean up rather easy. I've used it for years in my work and have stripped it out of cars that we have tested with no problems. Just a putting knife and a good pair of gloves will get it out. Its not easy but it does come out.

I want to use it on my roof as well as everywhere else in the interior. How does the adhesive hold up to direct summer sun. I really don't want it melting into my new interior.
