Hello, I have a question. I bought a 65 chevelle 4 door in relatively good shape from my neighbor for $75. It has no engine/trans or motor mounts. This neighbor than wrecked(t-boned) a 68 Buick Skylark Custom with 74,000 miles that he just bought from an old lady. The skylark has a 350(2-barrel)with powerglide trans. I can get the whole car for $200. My question is, will the buick 350 and trans fit into the chevelle, and if so what motor mounts would I use. Thank you. I appreciate your help.

If it was a six banger it will probably be difficult.

i would say not too hard considering you have the donar car complete. you will probably have to use the frame mounts also that match the motor. you may need the cross member also and the drive shaft. i beleive the frame is bassically the same where the motor sits. really only one way to find out. do it! and take your time

Well, I haven't done this, but it's common knowledge that the GM A-body cars had similar frames, suspension, etc. I'd say with some careful work it would fit okay. I guess you'd want to use the Buick's complete engine mount setup to avoid hassles.

Do Buicks and Chevys have their fuel pumps located in the same place? Might have to reroute your fuel line.

Hey tell your neighbor to buy/wreck a '41 Willys and then do the same with anything with a 426 Hemi in it. When he's done, give me a call and I'll come and buy the leftovers from him.
