i am looking to buy a holley dp and this guy has one for sale locally. he sent me pictures and the only thing im worried about is the throttle linkage. his carb looks like this one:

can i convert by buying a new baseplate? thanks.

Mike,my 4779 has the same linkage as the one in the first link you posted.
I would rather have that style linkage IMHO

Yes, you can use a different baseplate on it to change it over. No reason to convert anything though unless the linkage is worn out.

the reason why i need to convert it is because im not sure my 2004R TV cable bracket will fit to that one.

I lived not to far from you in Cherry Hill and raced many a times at Atco.
To your Question.
Since you have the 200-r4 the 2nd linkege is prefered since the life of
your 200-r4 is set by you TV cable.
You can retro thid on to the first carb by using quick fuels throttle shaft kit.
