Can't find a chart for date codes for this trans.
Mine has 3MK on the pad and really don't see anything else.
It does not have the two pressure taps of right side of case.

I found this:

First digit 3 followed by 2 letters could be 1983.
93 would be a 3 followed by 3 letters.

OK, made me go out to the garage.

1983 5.0 liter "C" truck (Fed & Alt)

I'll say mine is a 93 because it doesn't have pressure taps on the right side but still can't find what MK stands for.

The letters don't "stand" for anything, just identify which vehicles they were used in.
They are all the same inside pretty much. Early to early, late to late that is, not comparing early to late. Late models being better.

How do you get a C out of MK ?

Sometime during the run GM changed the spline count on the input shaft from 27 to 30 obviously the later ones are more desirable.
