console install

I have a 72 Chevelle SS with buckets and a Hurst Competion Plus 4 speed on the floor. I want to install a center console kit from either Ground Up or Yearone. Do I need to make any mods to the shifter hump? Is there enough room in the console shifter opening for the shifter stick to go through all positions without hitting the walls of the console opening? If anyone has any helpful advise I would appreciate it.

I am not familiar with that shifter. Does it still mount in the stock location? If so there is a different console for 4 spd cars.
