i stated earlier in this descussion about changing a 71/72 into a 70. core support has to have four holes for the headlight. the fender extentions for a 70 are not even clocse to fitting a 71/72 fender. grill is to long from a 70. the filler panel leaves a huge gap, and so in my opinion will not work. the front bumper has to be swapped or you have a huge gap. the 71/72 bumper brakets i had pulled the bumper in to tight so i bought new one for a 70. the olny things i could use were inner finders, hood latch, battrey tray, hood, and higes( for the money i bought all new exept hood, and hinges). here is a pic with most missing becouse the 2 fenders inner fenders, core support, battery tray, and rear deck lid cost me about $1,200. the grill/trim, head light bezels,front/rear bumpers, fender extentions, fender braces, parking lights, filler panal, and bumper bolts cost $1,000. i still need marker lights.i just thought i would say this was not cheap to do, and i really did try to use the parts i had. here is the pic.
