Whats up people,new here,can anyone help me on getting my dash lights and brake lights to work on a 69 chevelle?

Almost bet you have some bad grounds on your car and dash area.
Recheck all your grounds even the ones on your frame to body and the core support then all the grounds on the back side of your dash.:yes:

What Brad said - plus, check that your switch is OK, getting 12V to the wire that feeds the lights from the switch?

Dashlights are not self grounded, get an external ground, shifter for instance and you'll go just fine

Had this on the 66. My dashlights have push in sockets with metal fingers that ground to the metal on the back of the cluster.

The cluster had a metal strip that fit under one of the cluster screws and one of the cluster to dash screws, grounding to the dash.

The dash must have a good ground to the body, and such to the battery.

When I got done, I had dash lights with both the old headlight switch and the new one.

I elected to install the new one.
