Ok I have color sanded & buffed my Clear coat but I still have some light haze in some areas. I've wet sanded 800, 1000 1200 1500 then Perfect-it #1 using a White foam pad.

I do not put any extra pressure on the pad while buffing, should I ? or
will a Blue pad and Perfect-it 2 take care of the last bit of haze?

I'm and old school wool pad kinda guy and no stranger to buffing but I just don't know enough about these newer products.

I used SPI universal H/S Clear 4 good heavy coats and it looks great but I'm shooting for Perfect and it too far along for any mistakes.

Thanks, Tony

When I did mine, I wet sanded last with 2000 grit, then used compound on a wool pad and polish on a foam waffle pad, and finished with Imperial Hand Glaze.

3M has a really nice compounding system. 800 is way to aggressive to start IMO. 1500, then 2000, then 3000 Trizact on a random orbital works great but you need to know what you are doing. It makes compounding much easier. After that, compound, machine polish, then finish it off with the Ultrafine Machine polish. You can get the whole kit with 3 compounds and corresponding pads on Ebay for less than $200.
