Brake m/c boot leaking

I've been leaking brake fluid from the boot on the inside of my master cylinder (inside the car, at the top of the brake mechanism, inside of the firewall). I can see the fluid dripping from an open hole. Shouldn't this hole have plug of some kind? If it doesn't, what might the problem be?

Chad... I assume it a non power brake car. That boot is nothing but a dust seal/it's not there to seal off brake fluid. It sounds like it leaking past the bushing/seal where the rod goes into the master. If thats the case, it can be rebuilt, replaced.

Thanks! I've got a new M/C on order to be here tomorrow. Hopefully, this will fix the leak.
