I'm running a 454 with iron heads, mild cam, 800 Edelbrock, Weiand intake, and HEI ignition. Currently using AC Delco RT44TS plugs. Any comments ?
Thanks.

Why are you asking, are the R44TS AC's giving you trouble?
As for the extended tip's,that's a later plug design that was supposed to burn hotter & stay cleaner when in traffic due to the tip being more centered in the comb chamber firing process but on the other hand the extended tip plug will run cooler when up to speed or when on it hard due to tip being extended further into the comb chamber being better cooled by increased incomming fuel & air charge.
I found that to be true when i compaired std non extended tip plugs to extended tips in some motors i was running. The extended tip of same heat range plug always did a little better then the = heat range non extended tip plug so i always use extended tipped plug's for my SBC/BBC motors.
