It shouldn't, the rockers are under the stud girdle. if anything it keeps the oil from splashing away from the valvetrain. I used stud girdles on all my roller cams.

 

Well I picked up the Jomar 1114 with poly locks stud girdle for just under 200. Ray i was thinking about the Sniper Jr, was doing a read up on it and scene your post on one of the forums, I run the out of the box Super Victor 2927 with a well massaged 1050 and never felt any loss of low end torque, and that was with a 498. Reading about the sniper I decided to stay with the Victor. Thanks for the advise.
