I was hoping a hole was already precut in the floorboard and was just covered up with something. Unless mine is too dirty to see, it doesn't look like there is anything there. Did any 66 come with a shifter on the floor? Any advice or do you just have to cut away at the pans?
 
in the link above part number RST-76D is the ONLY correct shift hump for 1966 Chevelle. Bench or bucket seat, 3 or 4 speed. The other shift hump is for GTO, all the vendors keep this error going and going.
