I want to buy a factory assembly instruction manual for my 69.
How is the the quality of the reprint manual?
I found two on Amazon, one for $35 and the other for $43. I'm guessing it's the same manual, only a different price.

I bought 2 for my 71. One of them is bound and the other is loose leaf. I like the loose leaf one because I can make copies of the pages and write teardown notes on them when I am working on that part of the car. I store these copies with the parts for reference when I go to reassembly. Using copies in the garage will also keep the originals clean. I buy 2 because they are one of the cheapest things I buy when restoring a car and I have one in the house for study when I'm not in the shop.

Some of the larger swap meets have book sellers, I've bought a few good books that way, some originals too. My 70 Chevelle's I bought in 1973, across the GM parts counter, disappeared one day, and I replaced it at a swap meet in Hershey in 1989. I have picked up many factories auto books, some go back to the 30; s.

Where did you find the loose leaf one?

I was lucky enough a local dealership was going out of business in the 80's and I stopped and asked if they had anything like that. Sure enough they did and the owner was more than happy to give it to me. Helped that I knew him. I've also seen that at swap meets.....but few and far between...sometimes at those big flea markets in Fla.

There was a Chevy dealer by me in the 80"s that was going out. The parts dept. was free to walk in and take things. Had I only known back then.
