I built my own for the Big Block into my S-10 Blazer

It wasn't nearly as bad as you would think.

did you use a kit or u-j bends.

It's pretty easy for anyone who is decent at welding. It just takes a very long time to do it right. That's the fun part I think patience is the most important part of building your own headers.

U and J bends and straights, lots of time though

It took me about 120 hours total to finish the whole exhaust, start to finish.
