Man, what a day. I'm up at 7 and before I can make coffee, the power goes out. Then the top half of one of the tall cedars we have in the back yard snaps off and squashes the fence and hits the neighbor's deck. I spent a considerable part of the day sawing and chopping wood and draging branches. To top it off, a huge wind gust peels a couple three rows of shingles off the roof. We just got power back an hour ago.

Glad we rent:D

How'd everyone else make out?

Slept through it. I did move my enclosed trailer closer to my shop ( orange pig is inside while I catch up on periodic maint). As much as the trees were swaying I figured my power would be off, but it just bumped a couple times and my DSL was down. No biggee work day = T3 surfing  :D

Nothing here. Didn't seem like the wind hit very hard in our area this time. Last year when we had that big blow I was outside at 2 in the morning checking on the trees. One of the 150' Cedars was really rocking and rolling. I stood next to it and held my hand to it. I could feel the ground heaving beneath my feet! If that thing came down it would probably split my house in half. That tree is gone now and good thing because it was rotten in the middle.

I was a my dads place in Chehalis and we got hit hard, two down trees and a torn up roof. It wokw me up at 3:30 in the morning, sounded like a 747 landed on the house.

No damage or power loss here.
I did get called out for a tree down in the road in Preston at 3:45am Saturday morning.
Yesterday I woke up at 7am sure the phone was going to ring any minute due to the high winds but nothing... my boss called around 11am just to see if I was available. He lives in Enumclaw and said he couldn't believe the phones weren't ringing off the hook.

Mark, sorry to hear you had to spend the day chopping wood... or was that sawing logs?:D
Get that landlord over there and get that roof fixed.
You know, you probably won't have to worry about flying tree's in Texas.:noway:

Mike, Have you gone over to make sure your new shop is okay?

You guy's better get Loader on speed dial,, he knows people.

That's what you get for living in Yelm with all of the other Heathens.
You're just jealous because all the "enlightened" people live in Yelm.:) Does Puyallup have its own cult? I think not.

No damage in Lakewood but I was awakened by the wind....
A few tarps gone!
A few small branches about the place....

No power outage here this time  It did blow pretty hard and woke me up a couple times but no damage :hurray:
