Today brought about a big change.
The main landing gear doors are on, the nose was permanently installed------------------WITH THREE .50cal MACHINE GUNS, and I got most of the new Glide Slope antenna installed (this is a new landing feature for our plane).

I'm installing/tightening the bolts that attach the nose to the fuselage.

This is the nose with the hole cut for the Glide Slope antenna bracket.

This is the bracket I fabricated for the antenna.

This is the bracket/antenna placed in position with clecos. I still have to make 2 more brackets for each side of the main bracket.

I'm positioning one of the three dummy gun barrels that I made this week.

Nose installed, 3 guns installed, Glide Slope antenna installed, and the right engine cowling temporarily installed.

Two weeks from today (May 12) will be the second Open House for the Guthrie airport and we'll roll the plane outside for display all day. There will be major progress since last year.
