I just picked up a 71 El Camino, it's an A/C car but the only thing left is the interior heater box/core. Will a non a/c heater box cover bolt up to an a/c fire wall?

The holes are different sizes but there is a company that makes a kit to remove the a/c box and converts it to heater only. Looks like a factory set up. I cant remember the name but you should be able to google a/c delete and find them.

there's a lot of info on here about that subject. I recently removed my growth from under the hood & replaced it with an a/c delete cover. it definitely cleans up the engine bay. I know there's pic's on here. if you can't find what you want I can email you some pics. let me know. if you deal with acdelete.com just know it's going to take a while to receive it. also I had to call them & wait for them to call back. companies like ground up also carry that same product. good luck. hmardown

Every single person that I know who's removed the A/C has later regretted it.
Most of them couldn't afford to replace what they put in the garbage can years before.

If I were in your situation, I'd be calling Vintage Air, but that's because it gets kinda warm here in the summer.
