I know that most of you guys are Chevy fans in general, so I figured that someone would know.
My brother is planning on installing a freshly rebuilt 350/350 combination into his '70 Nova. My question is about the frame stands. The car was originally equipped with a six cylinder. Are these stands the same?

That's what I thought, but what exactly is the difference?
I know that if you use the original six cylinder frame mounts in a pick-up truck conversion, the engine/trans combination will "fit" .........but it sits back further than it would with the proper stands. Does it work the same for Novas? He is running a smaller diameter distributor, no A/C

They are different, my son has a 66 Nova Fremont built with the original 6 banger in it. The v8 mounts are a different size. though I don't have the mounts to tell you "exactly" what the differences are, they're different though. If there is a picture of the mounts on the Kragen or Summit (though Summit probably won't have the 6 cyl mounts) you may see a difference by looking at the picts.

My son and I are over at http://www.stevesnovasite.com, ask this question over there...
