i have a blue dash now, wanted to change it to black-i fig along with the normal prep, a plastic primer might be a good idea-is the SEM a good choice for painting it-inside the glove box is gonna be hard with blowback, but i guess its not that bad, and a lot of taping

I've got 2 SEM products at home that seem to work great together on hard plastic. The first is a spray on cleaner ( plastic prep might be the name) and the second is Sand Free which ,according to the label, "opens the pores" allowing the color to adhere. I originally did my dash 12-15 years ago and it still looks good.

yep the SEM plastic prep. works well with the dash, as well as kick panels and rear arm rests. SEM 15013 is the black i used after reading an earlier post of yours and it came out perfect. thanks

also if you're doing alot of spray painting i recommend a clip on gun attachment for the spray can, they are sweet.

I've used SEM's Landau black with great results. Only thing I can complain about is the fact the stuff is $12 a can. But it is sure worth it.
