Its been a long time since i posted anything. This is all the farther i got this summer. The motor and tranny are in and i got it running. The exhuast is just on enough to be able to hear the engine. I wish I was better on the cumputer end and could have posted a video of it running, that was pretty cool. I just pulled the engine and tranny back out and put the body back on the frame. My body guy only works on it in the winter, so we are going to start back on it this friday.

Looks good keep at her!! Im thinking of going with same exhaust. What muffs are those, what did it set you back?

Do they turn down behind wheels or straight out the back?

Here is the past 2 weekend progress. We cut the rest of the quarters off and then the roof, blasted and primed. then finished welding up the inner and outer fender wells, blasted the welds and scuffed and primed them. This weekend we are going to work on tack welding the wheel wells in and getting the roof to fit.

Rusty, great progress! You went a lot deeper than I had to with mine (my body was straight and mostly rust free as a garaged, California car). I'm almost done with mine, except some weatherstrip, alignment, and charged AC. Some pics posted in my profile. If you run into any issues, feel free to reach out.

thanks. they are GoodMark and they were the only option when i bought them. I never heard of AMD 4 years ago when i bought everything. but the actually dont fit to bad so far. i"m not saying that AMD is any better but i sought door skins and a roof skin and the AMD are .005 thicker. the roof skin still needs help it doesnt fit the best thats for sure.

Well its been a couple of weeks since i updated my progess. took a weekend off for a mountain trip but we were back at it again this weekend. After the inner fenders were welded in we welded and seam sealed the fender supports on. Then the part under the deck ffiller panel was rusted so we blasted, primed and smoothed it out with fiberglass. The trunk extenstions have to go on before the quarters go on so that is what we did this weekend. i had Goodmark and they didnt fit so go AMD and they were much better. But it still took about 16 hours to get them fitted in good. Now they are in welded, blasted and primed. We will seam seal them next weekend and start the fitting of the quarters, deck filler, trunk, and tail panel.

Brian,

What paint did you use for the satin black on frame/suspension parts?
