I pretty much going to just restore it back to original but with updating. Disc brakes etc. Of course I'm going down the rabbit hole of doing more than I had planned but whatever. You think Albanese is crazy, you've seen what we've got over here! I would come back home but I can't abandon my kids.

Hey Gav, I moved over here with my American wife so green card wise it was pretty easy. I moved over here when I was a boat mechanic for Watsons Marine in Gympie. I did that for a while over here but I needed a change so I scored a job with Pepsi and drove trucks for 20 years with them. After that I changed careers and became a Detention Officer with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office until I retired. Now I just spend money on my Chevelle.

 

Hey Glenn, im in Hervey Bay so not too far from your old area.. plenty of parts around and I run the Aussie FB page for Aussie Chevelles so Ive got my finger on the pulse of the parts around. What are you doing in Arizona ? The wife and I have tried a couple of times for a greencard or sponsorship to move over with no luck.. visit every year though to stay in touch..

 

G'day mate! Just joined and I wanted to say hi. I'm an Aussie living in Arizona, originally from Gympie. Love your car. I just started my rebuild and restoration on my Malibu. Nothing special but it does have factory air. Just about to lift the body off. It's been in the family since new so I guess it's special in that respect. What's it like getting parts for yours over there?
